The Holiday Gift the Keeps on Giving

The holidays can be such a wonderful and magical time of the year and it’s a great way to show our love and appreciation for our community. Each year, the team at RLB makes a donation to an organization within the four communities of which we work in. In the past, we have supported toy drives, food banks, and food hampers. This year we are supporting an education program.

Why?

Well, something accountants love other than numbers is food! Not only that, but at RLB we live by the motto ‘People Count’. Our team, our clients, and our communities are the reason why we do what we do. We believe that we are here to help in any way possible. As a firm, we have a commitment to continuous learning and growth, regardless of age and stage of career. Supporting an education program aligns well with RLB’s culture and principles.

We have embodied these beliefs through our gift of $5,000 towards Nutrition for Education, a program run by Egg Farmers of Ontario. This program provides hard boiled eggs to schools, specifically in Wellington, Dufferin, and Kitchener/Waterloo, all year long. Our donation translates into 23,000 eggs for school-aged children!

Did you know?

1 egg provides 14 essential vitamins and nutrients for only 70 calories! These include vitamins A, D and E, folate, iron, zinc, and choline. Eating eggs is good for your bones, teeth, skin, and eyes (Eggs.ca). Eggs are so crucial to one’s daily nutritional intake.

The team at RLB is excited to bring nutrition to the classroom. We hope to inspire and encourage others in the community to consider Nutrition for Education this holiday season.

At RLB, People Count. Communities Count.
