One of the words that bring itself up when comparing speakers is the IP code rating or IPX rating if you are only considering water resistance. Some will have IPX4, IPX7, IP67, IP68, and other numbers. What tends to be confusing is the meaning of the IP Code rating.

Most of us hear the IPX rates, and we quickly judge the ability to resist water. However, there is more that we need to learn about the IPX ratings. Meaning of IPX rating
