Realme Book Slim will launch on August 18 alongside the GT series

Realme has sent out press invites for the launch of Realme Book Slim. The event is scheduled for August 18 at 12:30 PM (IST), which is when we will see the unveiling of the Realme GT series of smartphones as well. The company’s CEO Madhav Seth had recently shared a teaser video of the laptop on Twitter. In fact, it has been teased and talked about for a long time that it must have sparked enough curiosity among the public for the upcoming event.

A few features of the Realme Book and its slim design have already been shown by Mr. Sheth. The teaser video that surfaced recently shows the USB Type-C port of the laptop which would be used for power delivery and data transfer. He has also hinted at the color and port selection on this laptop. The latter includes two USB Type-C ports, one USB-A port, and, a 3.5mm audio jack.

As for the colors, you will be able to buy the Realme Book Slim in silver and matte blue paints.

Looking at the design that has emerged, it can be inferred that the Realme Book Slim will come with a metal body that looks premium from the renders and images shared online. However, the company CEO says that it will be affordable. It remains to be seen whether this upcoming laptop, which is said to be affordable, will have an AMD Ryzen processor or 11th Gen Intel chipsets inside. In addition, there is a lot of discussion about its storage and if it will have a touch display.

Going by the rumors, the Realme Book and Book Slim will come with the latest Intel Core i5 processor, 16gigs of RAM, 65W fast charging support, and Windows 10 (to be updated to Windows 11 later on this year).

Also, the company has said, “Realme Book Slim will come with a screen ratio, which will show more content when viewing documents or browse websites, making it the perfect tool for your work and creation needs,” which could mean a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is also said to be boasting a 2K display. The laptops will come with Windows 10 out-of-the-box, but Realme has already promised they will get Windows 11 later this year.

Realme is expected to launch the flagship smartphone GT-Series as well as Realme Book Slim on August 18.
