A Field of Purple

On the last day of our recent trip around the southwest of Ireland, we stopped at a Lavender farm in Co. Wexford. My wife and I have always been a fan of Lavender, and it featured in the flowers at our wedding, so it was nice to see where it comes from. It also always makes for good photos.

Relying on Google Maps to find the farm off the beaten track was a bit of fun in and of itself. To be fair, there are signs for it, but it is down a pretty small country road. The day we visited was incredibly warm too, as Ireland had been experiencing a heat wave all that week, and the farm was located away from the cooling breeze from the shores of the country where we had previously been.
