All those rescheduled shows from 2020 are finally happening! There are so many to see this August at many of Dallas’ great music venues that host shows of all sizes. Check out some of the biggest shows happening at our most notable venues this month:
Located in Fair Park, the outdoor music venue is great for spreading out and enjoying a Texas summer night. Since it opened in 1988, the venue has had many names (millennials will remember it as Smirnoff Music Centre!) and hosted legends like Elton John, Martina McBride and Black Sabbath.

Gas Monkey Live! is a premier music venue located in Northwest Dallas. They are a fantastic destination for a warm, rock n roll, rustic atmosphere that is suited for any event, large or small.

- August 31: Simple Plan & New Found Glory
Located in Dallas’ West End, this lively restaurant & bar offers live music and iconic Southern dishes gumbo, shrimp and grits and pulled-pork barbeque – just to name a few. It’s the perfect place to see your alt-rock and indie favorites.

The largest of seven venues inside Gilley’s Dallas in the Cedars/Southside neighborhood, Southside Ballroom is arguably the most popular in the area. It has hosted recent pop culture favorites like Dua Lipa, Kendrick Lamar and Lizzo.
