Road Trip to Huntington Beach

CULTURED PIT STOPS

Surf Hall of Fame

Walk of Fame

Like the Walk of Fame for Hollywood stars, this stretch of sidewalk located next to Jack’s Surfboards in downtown Huntington Beach pays tribute to the immortals of surfing. An induction committee made up of approximately 80 international surf industry notables submits its choice for each of six categories: Surf Culture, Local Hero, Surf Pioneer, Surf Champion, Women of the Year, and Honor Roll. You’ll see Andy Irons, Stephanie Gilmore, Mick Fanning, Bob McKnight, Courtney Conlogue, and many more.

Surfers’ Hall of Fame

The Surfers’ Hall of Fame is located on the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street in front of Huntington Surf & Sport. You will see the handprints and footprints of those who have greatly impacted surfing culture. They are watched over by a statue of the great Duke Kahanamoku in downtown Huntington Beach. You’ll see Kelly Slater, Peter Townend, Sean Collins, Brett Simpson, Bethany Hamilton, Bob Hurley, and many more.
